Chuck Ross

On Saturday May 12th Chuck Ross was sadly involved in an ultralight crash that took his life. The crash occurred about five miles east of Banning, CA, in Whitewater Canyon. He was on his way home from a club fly-in at Landers, a few miles to the north. While there is an ongoing NTSB investigation, preliminary indications are that he encountered violent winds and turbulence. His family would like to thank the many people who have sent their condolences. Chuck taught hundreds of people how to fly and took thousands up for the thrill of their lives. He had (at least) as much fun doing this as any of his students and passengers. He was a positive optimistic force and will be deeply missed by the many lives that he touched. - Cheers to you Chuck, and thank you for everything. We are all better for having known you.
